I'm on a boat

Last weekend was Festival de Acqua or something in Vicenza. Max and I waited two hours for a ten-minute boat trip down the Fiume Bacchiglione.

When they gave the go ahead to the rafts, Max was first there.

You can barely see the first waterfall we had to negotate, followed by a second just beyond the bridge. After that, smooth sailing.

We had the prime seats in front. Fearless!

Men's Day at the Beach

Manly men heading out for a day at the beach.

Max and I took a men's trip to the beach today on the Adriatic Sea, south of Venice at a little resort town called Sottomarina. Max thought it was swell.

Being Tuesday on a school day, not many families were there and we got a spot 50 feet from the water. Didn't take a lot of photos by myself, but had a great time swimming and jumping over little ankle-slappers.

New baby girl

Welcome to Chiara Jane Baker, born June 1st at 0841. She's a little peanut, weighing 6 lbs 3 oz and stretching the tape at 17 1/2". I guess that would be a pretty big peanut, but on the small side for a little baby. Both mom and baby are doing great and expected home tomorrow. (Dad)
