As some of you may already know, Jay deployed this last week. We were sad to see him go, but hope that his brigade can do good work in Afghanistan and help to bring more peace to the Middle East.
Max and I are very proud of him.

And we made it in our local newspaper;-)

  1. I'm totally about to cry seeing that last picture. Is it that time of the month or what? Jay will do great! Happy Holidays to you all!

  2. Ahhh, how sweet. So cool about the newspaper. Totally teared up too. Um, I think it's just cause we're women. Hope you have a lot of people around you while he's away =)

  3. Such great pictures! And I think Jay is developing a great picture smile:) Maybe he's taken some tips from his darling son. I must say, sweetheart Colleen, that the men in your life are quite handsome! Lots of love to you all.

  6. The newspaper photo is so touching and emotional. Max looks really happy - I'm glad he had an upbeat good-bye. Time flies, doesn't it? Seems like just yesterday you were giving me deployment tips at a shoe store in Itaewon. (The boat in the moving stream, remember?)
PS Have you read "3 Cups of Tea?" I HIGHLY recommend it. (True story that takes place near the border of Afghanistan.)
